Reflections

This is an annual National PTA-sponsored art contest that is open to all students, preschool through grade 5.

Reflections encourages children to creatively reflect on a given theme through the use of various media (visual art, literature, music, photography, dance choreography and film).

The theme for the 2024-2025 school year is "Accepting Imperfection."

Top finishers from Tuckahoe will progress to the County Reflections contest, and possibly beyond!

Applying is simple: fill out an application for each category your child is entering, make the art, and then bring BOTH the art AND the filled application to Tuckahoe by November 8th.

Having trouble accessing art materials? Don't worry, contact Mr. Sol and he can put together a material package for your student to make their work. We can't wait to see your masterpieces!

Please note that entries must be submitted with a completed Entry Form -- and judges do consider the Artist's Statement as an important component of the final score. Each category also has specific guidelines for how it is to be submitted, eg, visual art should be mounted on poster board, and music, dance and film entries must be submitted on a flash drive.
