About Us

Welcome to Tuckahoe Elementary School’s PTA. Use this website to stay in touch with Tuckahoe throughout the school year! 

Our PTA is made up entirely of volunteers from the school - parents, family members, and teachers - who come together to build our community and provide practical support for the school.

How does the PTA support the school?

• Teacher grants for responsive classroom training, and other teacher training initiatives
  
  
• Fundraising for the courtyard pond and other school needs
  
  
• Working with school administrators to communicate priorities and support the school’s mission
  
  
• Bringing parents together through social interactions to build our community
  
  
• Supplementing our kids’ education through field trips, grade level activities and the Discovery schoolyard

The Tuckahoe Elementary School PTA supports the threefold mission of the National PTA:

• To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children
  
  
• To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children
  
  
• To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation

We can’t do any of this without our hardworking, dedicated volunteers. You are what drives success and benefits our kids. Bring your ideas, your talents, and your passion - we look forward to working with you to support our school!

Join the Tuckahoe PTA - membership is easy! Check out the forms on the website and make sure to update your family's information and fill out the Welcome Back to School form. When you fill out your information you can also pay dues to the PTA. Annual membership is $20.00 for up to two adults (this includes membership in the National and Virginia PTAs, as well).
